Ahmed ElSharkawi
Dr. ElSharkawi brings over two decades of clinical research experience across multiple therapeutic areas. Board-certified with extensive training in Nephrology, he has served as Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials spanning Phase I through IV studies. His dedication to patient care and scientific excellence has made him a trusted partner for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors worldwide.

Dr. Jose S. Reyes Oliva, MD
Sub-Investigator
Dr. Reyes Oliva is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with specialized training in Nephrology. He completed his fellowship at the University of Florida Jacksonville and brings extensive clinical experience from both the United States and Cuba in family and emergency medicine. Dr. Reyes Oliva is actively involved in clinical research with a focus on dialysis outcomes and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting successful trial execution. Known for his collaborative and patient-centered approach, Dr. Reyes Oliva is fluent in English and Spanish.
Vicky W. Hanson, ANP-BC, MSN, RN
Sub-Investigator
Ms. Vicky Whittington Hanson is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with extensive clinical experience in critical care, nephrology, internal medicine, and primary care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University and has been recognized for academic excellence. Since 2018, Ms. Hanson has supported nephrology and internal medicine care, contributing to high-quality patient care and clinical research. She is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong commitment to clinical excellence.
Humera Mohammadi, M.Pharm, M.S.
Clinical Research Specialist
Humera Mohammadi is a dedicated Clinical Research Specialist with experience supporting nephrology and internal medicine clinical trials. She plays a key role in coordinating study activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting high-quality patient care throughout the research process. Known for her strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Humera is committed to advancing clinical research while providing a positive experience for study participants and sponsors.
Dr. Walid Haddad, MD
Clinical Research Coordinator
Dr. Walid Haddad, MD is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Coastal Medical Research with a background in internal medicine and transplant research. He earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo and previously served as a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic in the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation. Dr. Haddad is dedicated to advancing clinical research while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality study coordination.
